ABOUT ME

 

 

“Golf Club Schloss Fuschl:" 1974, I am 13 years old. The enthusiasm and incredible joy of golf is already bubbling in my youthful veins. As one of the youngest caddies, I take advantage of every opportunity to spend my free time on the golf course with really good, experienced players. In the evening - when it is dark - and the place has become deserted, I hit scattered golf balls back precisely with my "playing equipment". I can continue to improve my initially very original “golf starter set” - consisting of the various rusty women's and men's models that were discarded by the golf members - with the very lucrative income as a caddy.

Back then I played with so many different golf clubs, drivers, putters, types and brands. It quickly became clear to me that just like the king at the end in chess, in golf it is the putter that ultimately decides the round - and often also my wages as a caddy...

As a young amateur at the age of 24 (HCP 2.8) and as an international golf professional, the ambition and demand has increasingly awakened in me - to create something unique - something completely new - very special - for the highest demands - beyond mediocrity...

My life is characterized by winning numerous golf tournaments as an amateur, unforgettable course records, winning championships and tournament series as well as the constant claim to create an incomparable, new “king putter” to complement this passion for golf. 

1986   Best Amateur (HCP 2.8) at age 24

1991   Apprenticeship as a golf instructor in Linz.

1995   Assistant Golf - Professional Exam

1996-98  Playing - Pro at numerous tournaments in Europe

Some sporting successes as a professional during this time included::

1996   Golf Instructor Championship 4th place

1997   National Open 5th place

1997 First ranked in the EPDT 97 (Golf Pro Tour) of a 3rd level tour in Germany, course record in GC-Ludwigsberg in Munich with 65 strokes, 8 under par.

Through my years of work as a PlayingPro and TeachingPro, I was able to play on very different greens on the various golf courses in our beautiful world.

When I had a heavy putter for fast greens, the direction was very good, but length control was more difficult. With a lighter putter the length was fine, but the direction was more challenging.

Every missed shot on the green counts! That's why I thought about developing a putter that was heavy enough to maintain direction without transferring the weight directly to the ball. This ensures control of the length. 

I have decided to design a new type of precision device, a solid quality product that reliably meets the expectations of both beginners and those in glamorous professional sports. 

The innovative PUTTER generation

Thanks to modern precision high-tech, countless studies, drawings, experiments and numerous prototypes, after years of attempts we have finally succeeded all these attributes in the new one PAPILLON – PUTTER- Generation to realize.

A heavy putter is directionally stable. However, length control is more difficult to play because the putter transfers the weight directly to the golf ball.

A light putter is easier to control in length. However, its light weight makes it easier to twist. It is more challenging to get the face square to the ball, especially if the ball is not hit centered on the face.

A completely new PHILOSOPHY:

The PAPILLON PUTTER with the weight bars crossing each other but not touching - the so-called real crossweighting weight distribution, which combines both essential advantages in its glamorous form.  The weights placed on the outside do not apply the force directly to the ball. They ensure the exact weight and the necessary stability to maintain the direction. 

Both the length and the direction are harmoniously stabilized.

If you don't hit the ball in the middle of the putter surface, the lateral distribution of the weights prevents the putter from twisting.

By flexible, gradual changing of the weights from 300g to up to 450g, the player can adapt their personal golf swing to the green. This means that professionals can also change their face balance from face balance to toe hang using the transversely distributed putter weights.
